How to create a barcode in excel

 Hello and welcome,  today we are going to learn how to create a barcode in Excel.  You must have seen a barcode at the back of the product you use in your daily life.  Barcode is a machine-readable code in which the price of the product is hidden and they are in the form of a Special number and lines. It can only be readable by a barcode scanner. But it’s easy to create this barcode in Excel by using one or two clicks.  So let’s get started:

 First of all, you have the data in two columns one is the product code and the second one is the barcode you have to copy the product code in the barcode columns. 


   Now, you have to download the font which is used for the barcode.  Now click on the link and it will take you to the site dafont.com.

     When you scroll down you can see four different types of font available for barcode-like CCode 39, Code 39, CIA Code 39, etc.  The most popular code is code 39.  But in this case, I am going to use CIA code 39.  Here you can see the download button on the right side. Click on it and it will download your font in the respected drive or folder where you wanted.

                   

  The downloaded file is in zip format. So you must have installed WinRAR on your PC so that you can extract the downloaded file from this.  Then you can double click on the extracted file and click install to install the font in Excel. Then select the codes in the bar code column and then go to font and scroll down and select  CIA code 39. And boom, your barcode is ready. This is the way how we generating barcodes in excel.
